TOURISM DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY IN THE CITY OF PAGAR ALAM

The purpose of the study, titled "Tourism Development Strategy in Pagar Alam City" is to find out and get a picture of how the implementation strategy of tourism development in the City of Pagar Alam. Therefore, this study just to see how the implementation of the tourism development strategy focused on tourism marketing strategy and strategy development of tourist destinations in the city of Pagar Alam. Data analysis techniques used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method, namely to provide an overview or a phenomenon of existing conditions and the data obtained from primary and secondary data. Data is collected by the method of collecting data through documentation and observation which is then processed to obtain an overview of the implementation of the tourism development in the City of Pagar Alam The figures obtained from the implementation of the Tourism Development Strategy in the City of Pagar Alam found that the promotion of tourism in the city of Pagar Alam has been done but only limited to attend the festival and exhibition at the national level and also the manufacture of booklets and leaflets tourism as tourism information about the City of Pagar Alam.
